This pipeline capacity and throughput expansion project utilized SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system with the computer as the core facility to complete the pipeline monitoring, control and management.
Station-controlled System (SCS) mainly consists of computer network system, programmable logic controller (PLC), operator work station and communication equipment which transmits the data.
Through optic fiber communication system, the control center connects with station-controlled system (SCS) of individual technological station. The whole-line data collecting and monitoring system utilizes the optic fiber communication as the main channel, and microwave communication is set as the standby channel between the dispatching & control center and SCS.
The main task of the dispatching & control center is to carry out the data collection and control of the pipeline via SCS of each station. Based upon the information such as pressure, temperature, equipment operation status, which is provided by operator work station of the computer system, operators of the dispatching & control center complete the operation monitoring and management of whole pipeline.
